It was a glorious sun-filled morning as members of Mahopac Falls Fire Department rolled out of Headquarters and headed to Pine Grove daycare for 2021 Fire Prevention.

As the ambulance and Engine backed down the driveway, more little faces began filling every open space at the windows. It was especially exciting for the firefighters because Fire Prevention was put on hold because of covid. As classes descended to the driveway, small hands waved in an excited welcome to their visitors. Fireman Walt spoke to the youngsters about what to do if they must call 911, what to do if there is a fire in their home and the importance of STOP/Drop and ROLL.

As much as the kids were thrilled to have the firefighters visit, it is safe to say that the firefighters were as thrilled (if not more) to be back.
