Attention, Mahopac Residents,

We want to provide you with an important update regarding the smoke currently affecting our area. This smoke is coming from a significant brush fire in Kent that was reported on October 26th.

The smoke is causing a noticeable haze and odor in Mahopac. Local authorities have informed us that 911 operators are receiving numerous calls from residents reporting the smell of smoke.

Current Status: There is no immediate risk to our community in Mahopac. However, the scene remains active, and firefighters are diligently working to prevent further spread of the fire. As always, we encourage all residents to stay informed.

Safety Recommendations:
• If the smoke becomes bothersome, please stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed.
