This evening, members of Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department had the solemn honor of escorting the 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit from I-684 to Mahopac VFD Headquarters.

This 83-foot, high-tech exhibit serves as a moving tribute to the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 members of FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice. It also honors all those who continue to lose their lives to 9/11-related illnesses.

The 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit transforms into a powerful, 1,100 square-foot experience that educates and reminds us of the events of that tragic day. Guided by FDNY firefighters, the exhibit includes interactive displays, steel beams from the Twin Towers, documentary videos, and audio recordings from first responders, offering a firsthand account of the courage and sacrifice that defined that day.

This memorial has traveled to nearly 50 states and Canada, educating over 650,000 people across the nation. Now, we welcome it to our community to ensure that we, too, NEVER FORGET.
