Smoke from Kent Brush Fire Affecting Mahopac Area

Attention, Mahopac Residents,
We want to provide you with an important update regarding the smoke currently affecting our area. This smoke is coming from a significant brush fire in Kent that was reported on October 26th.

Early Morning Rollover

At approximately 7:50 AM this morning, the Mahopac Falls Fire Department, along with EMS, Carmel VAC, Carmel Police, and Putnam County Paramedics, responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hill Street and Lakeside Road.

School Bus Safety Drill with Scouts from Troop 371

Last Wednesday, Mahopac Falls VFD held a vital School Bus Drill, with special participation from Scouts from Troop 371!
We had the opportunity to work with a 65-passenger school bus and a wheelchair-accessible van, both provided by Mahopac Central Schools. Our members demonstrated important emergency response procedures, focusing on the unique challenges involved in school bus rescues.
